Marketing Assistant

Role Overview


As our Marketing Assistant (Melbourne-based, part-time), you will support end-to-end delivery of multi-channel campaigns and major marketing projects. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Lead to bring creative ideas to life, boost brand engagement, and drive sales of our equipment.

  • Reports to: Marketing Lead
  • Location: Dandenong South, Melbourne (office-based)
  • Employment type: Part-time contract — approx. 3 days per week (20 hours), with potential for increased hours/advancement based on performance
  • Hourly rate: Competitive — $35 per hour

Key Responsibilities


  • Social media & digital marketing: Manage company social accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram): content planning, posting, community engagement and basic analytics. Support paid digital campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads) by helping set up ads, monitor performance and optimise targeting.
  • Copywriting: Write engaging, clear copy for social posts, blogs, website pages, newsletters, email blasts and product descriptions tailored to B2B/industrial audiences.
  • Content & Design: Create visuals and collateral for digital channels, social media, email campaigns, product launches, brochures and other print/online assets. Maintain brand consistency in all designs.
  • Product launch support: Assist in planning and executing go-to-market strategies for new equipment releases; coordinate promotions, launch events and campaign activity.
  • General marketing support: Contribute to market research, email marketing and other marketing projects. Maintain and update marketing collateral and product listings.

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For


  • Marketing expertise: Strong written and verbal English. Solid understanding of social media best practices and brand voice development. Experience creating content for professional/B2B audiences. B2B or industrial sector experience is highly regarded.
  • Technical: Proficient with Canva (or similar). Experience managing social media channels and running paid-media campaigns. Familiarity with email marketing tools is a plus.
  • Organisational: Excellent time-management and multitasking skills; ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Mindset: Positive, proactive “can-do” attitude and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Mandatory: Right to work in Australia; reliable transport & valid driver’s licence.

Preferred Qualifications


  • 2+ years in a marketing role (graphic design experience a bonus). Entry to mid-level candidates welcome.
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or related field.
